GERRY ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT.

Now in his 31st year as a full-time entertainer in country music and after a long and successful career he has decided to call this year his last on the road. He will retire on 10th November 2008. While it is unusual for country music performers to "retire" Gerry says..
�I don�t want to continue on the road forever and hopefully just fade away gracefully like other performers seem to do. Joan & I have applied for a visa to emigrate to Australia to join our family. With less than a year to go, I want to thank the many people who have supported me in various ways over the years. They include agents, club organisers, country music press and journalists, musicians, promoters, Djs and music presenters who have played and still play my music, radio listeners, radio and record producers, songwriters, country music fans and other artistes and bands I�ve met and had the pleasure of working with. I want to say a special thank you to my fan club members, many have been supporting me from the start. Thank God I have been fortunate to have met so many wonderful people and made so many friends, and been able to touch so many with my music�.
