Gerry appeared at the Wembley International Country Festival on 4 occasions (main stage) and hosted the "BEST OF BRITISH FESTIVAL" for 5 years. He has worked with nearly every top name on the British and Irish Country Music Scene. He appeared regularly at country festivals around Britain as performer and compere.
He started his broadcasting career with Radio Forth in Edinburgh for 4 years and moved to BBC Radio Scotland for 15 years with Country Corner. He had his own series on BBC Radio 2, was guest presenter on Country Club on numerous occasions, and presented the First Country Gospel programme there. He also presented country programmes on Glasgow Country 105 and Clan F.M.
